Catherine & Steve’s Family Portrait

June 1, 2010

Yesterday I travelled to Bromley to do a family portrait shoot for an old school friend. Talk about a blast from the past! We haven’t spoken to each other in about (cough) 12 years so most of the shoot was us having a good catch up and gossip.

Catherine had her second child around 3 months ago. They had lots of studio pictures taken with their first child when he was born and wanted something different for their new daughter. Our montage products were what caught Catherine’s eye and also the availability of the shoot itself (I work a seven-day week and bank holidays unlike most studios). Catherine and Steve also liked the idea that they don’t have to organise a viewing session afterwards, they can simply watch their DVD of proofs in their own home when it’s convenient to them.

As with most young babies they are either sleeping or eating, so there was only a short window to get some photographs of Isabelle at her best.

Their son was looking very smart in his white shirt but was more interested in what was going on behind the camera than in front 🙂 He enjoyed helping me take pictures of his beloved ‘Teddy Ray’, shockingly only 2 years old! Poor Teddy!

Catherine has booked a custom Baby package, so I look forward to seeing them all again in a few months, when their baby girl is sitting up on her own.

Look out for the rest of the pictures from Catherine & Steve’s shoot, on our main website in a few weeks.
