Jayne’s Sneak Peek: Kids (and Dog) Portrait Shoot

May 26, 2011

I recently visited Jayne in her Bromley back garden. Jayne had requested a photo shoot of her 3 babies; her two sport loving sons and her gorgeous Cocker-Poo (Cocker Spaniel-Poodle Cross), Barney.

The kids were great. Boys are often quite nervous and self conscious in front of the camera but they worked well with me and got involved by suggesting sports kit and clothes to wear, as well as making each other laugh for the camera 🙂

The final prints were to be presented in the form of a gift voucher pack. This is basically a gift voucher allowing the recipient to view all the proofs from the shoot and choose their own favourite photographs to have printed how you wish them to i.e. in prints or a product of your choice. This is a popular present for my clients; it’s an original gift idea, it takes away the pressure of you choosing the final photographs to give them and it means they get to see the results of the shoot. It also is a quicker process. Portrait shoots, depending on work load, can take 2-3 weeks to process. Jayne needed her shoot turning round in approximately 2 weeks. By requesting a gift voucher proof pack from the start, I was able to put this together for her within the time frame.

Lets not forget loveable Barney – who playfully growled every time I tried to remove his ball from shot! I guess Barney had watched the boys have their photos taken with their toys and wanted to do the same 🙂
