Liz & Tim’s Party

August 31, 2011

I have known Liz and Tim for quite a few years, having photographed Liz’s first child when he was just a baby and later capturing Liz and Tim’s baby girl. Both children have grown so much since I last saw them, Liz and Tim not so much!

This couple are not only a beautifully photogenic couple (despite the fact that Tim dislikes having his picture taken and rarely will look down the barrel of a lens) but they are constantly smiling and laughing. They are great fun to be around.

What started out as a 40th Birthday Party for Tim, actually turned into the celebration of Liz and Tim’s marriage which had taken place earlier that morning – a complete surprise to many of their party guests! They had asked me to simply capture their guests and children in a relaxed manner. They didn’t want any posed or set up shots, so I weaved in between guests in the pub’s small garden terrace and captured what I could before the light completely faded (thankfully the day’s rain had finally decided to take a rest).

Liz had provided a big bowl of sweets for the kids – you can imagine the effects this had on them. It also gave their youngest the opportunity to experience her first lollypop! This was a very cute and funny moment to witness.

Huge congratulations to Liz and Tim on their wedding. Oh, and Happy Birthday Tim 🙂
